Every woman wants to feel beautiful and glamorous. Dolly may have had to figure out how on her own, but with her new beauty line, she wants to help everyone feel beautiful, from the inside out. As Dolly herself says, “I feel glamorous on the inside, so I want to look like it on the outside!” This philosophy is at the heart of her approach to beauty. From the packaging to the designs and the products themselves, Dolly was involved in every aspect of the Dolly Beauty cosmetic line. 

Like most things that shape us, it began in childhood. When Dolly was growing up in the backwoods of East Tennessee, it was often looked down on to wear makeup. Being independent from an early age, Dolly stayed true to herself and carried out her vision of the idea, “If you can dream it, you can have it.” Because she couldn’t buy makeup, she started making her own, from things she foraged in the woods or found at home: pokeberries for lip stain, burnt matches as eyeliner, flour as face powder. 

With Dolly Beauty, the cosmetics she has created are a fair bit more sophisticated than pokeberry red, but the intent is the same – to make everyone feel as beautiful as she has since she discovered makeup. In her words, “I worked hard to look the way I pictured myself” – now she’s made it easy for you to do the same.
